CONSERVATION LEVY INCREASE
Dear valued partner in travel,
Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management has announced an increase in conservation fee which is effective immediately and applicable to all their National Parks.
Despite efforts from the affected lodges to appeal to National Parks Management Body, to postpone the increases to come into effect in 2020 allowing suitable implementation time, Zimbabwe National Parks has decided to implement the new conservation fees with immediate effect. The new conservation fees structure for accommodated guest at any of Zimbabwe’s National Parks is as per the below:
- International Visitors – USD $15.00 per person per night
- Rainforest fees, wherefrom ‘the Falls’ may be viewed, have remained unchanged.
As the above mandate is regrettably beyond our control, we have no option but to implement this increase and await the official documentation to follow from the various suppliers in the region.
All bookings that are confirmed and travelling from now until 31 October 2019, guests will need to be advised of the increase and that they will be required to settle the difference, the additional USD $5.00 per person per night, at the lodge directly in cash. All bookings confirmed and travelling from 01 November 2019, our Travel Specialists will send an amended invoice reflecting the new conservation levy. The new conservation fee will be implemented for all new bookings going forward.
Many thanks for your understanding and continued support.
