ANANTARA TENTED CAMP KAFUE RIVER HAS OPENED FOR RESERVATIONS

Anantara has opened reservations for Anantara Kafue River Tented Camp, the brand’s first luxury tented safari property. The 13-key camp is set in Zambia’s Kafue National Park, with elevated timber platforms offering river views while allowing wildlife to move freely below.

Designed with sustainability in mind, the camp runs entirely on solar power, uses on-site water purification systems, has eliminated single-use plastics, and features low-impact lighting to protect nocturnal wildlife.

Accommodation includes three elevated Horizon Terrace Suites with private viewing decks and star beds, alongside Pool and Bush Villas and a Presidential Villa.

Guests can enjoy modern Zambian cuisine, floating river dining, cooking experiences, game drives, river safaris, guided walks and catch-and-release fishing.

The camp is accessible by charter flight from Livingstone or Lusaka to Chunga Airstrip, or by a four-hour drive from Lusaka International Airport.

The historic Kingdom Hotel in Victoria Falls will reopen as Grand Hyatt Victoria Falls The Kingdom, following a management agreement between Hyatt and Albwardy Investments.

Scheduled to reopen in late 2027, the hotel will undergo a full refurbishment to align with Grand Hyatt brand standards. Originally built in 1966 and redeveloped in 1999, the property was acquired by Albwardy Investments, a subsidiary of ASB Hospitality, in November last year.

The reimagined hotel will feature 245 rooms, 1 800 sqm of meeting and event space, three restaurants, a spa, fitness centre and lobby lounge. Ideally located within a five-minute walk of the Victoria Falls rainforest, it also offers convenient access to safari experiences, local attractions and Victoria Falls International Airport.

Ali Albwardy, Chairman of Albwardy Investments, said the partnership with Hyatt will introduce the Grand Hyatt brand to one of Africa’s most iconic destinations while building on the property’s long-standing legacy.
