JACI’S PRIVATE LODGE REOPENS IN MADIKWE
Jaci’s Private Lodge in Madikwe Game Reserve has reopened after a 10-month rebuild following the severe flooding that forced its closure in February 2025.
The rebuilt lodge features upgraded accommodation, including Safari Suites, private villas and Jaci’s Madikwe House. The project also focused on sustainability, with restored furnishings, reused materials, solar power, water recycling and vegetable gardens supporting its environmental commitment.
Many long-serving staff members have returned, continuing the lodge’s warm hospitality. Through the Jaci’s Staff Trust, employees also share ownership in the business, reflecting the lodge’s strong commitment to its people.

MINOR INVESTS IN ZAMBEZI EXPERIENCES
Minor Hotels is strengthening its presence in Zambia and Zimbabwe with new accommodation, upgraded facilities and immersive guest experiences across its portfolio.
Recent enhancements include 2 new Pool Suites and a Spa Gazebo at Anantara Stanley & Livingstone Victoria Falls Hotel in Zimbabwe, while The Royal Livingstone Victoria Falls Zambia Hotel by Anantara has refurbished 93 rooms with upgraded interiors and improved guest amenities.
The group has also expanded into Zambia’s Kafue National Park with the opening of Anantara Tented Camp Kafue River. The luxury camp offers spacious tented villas, private plunge pools, butler service and nature-based experiences in one of Africa’s largest national parks.

THE MARINE REOPENS FOLLOWING REFURBISHMENT
The Marine in Hermanus has reopened after refurbishing its ground-floor public areas, including the reception, cocktail bar, Pavilion Restaurant and connecting guest spaces.
The renovation carefully preserved the character of the 120-year-old hotel, with no structural changes made to the historic building. The refreshed interiors enhance the guest experience while maintaining the property’s timeless charm.
A landmark in Hermanus since 1902 and part of The Liz McGrath Collection since 1998, The Marine continues to offer guests its signature blend of heritage, elegance and warm hospitality.
ANANTARA STANLEY & LIVINGSTONE VICTORIA FALLS HOTEL EXPANDS LUXURY OFFERING
Anantara Stanley & Livingstone Victoria Falls Hotel has introduced 2 new Pool Suites and a Spa Gazebo, enhancing its luxury offering in the Victoria Falls Private Game Reserve.
The new Pool Suites feature private pools, secluded verandas overlooking the reserve and in-suite dining from the hotel’s 1871 Restaurant, creating a premium accommodation option for honeymooners, solo travellers and guests seeking a nature-focused escape.
The new Spa Gazebo offers a tranquil wellness experience with two treatment beds and private shower facilities, using products from South African brand TheraNaka. The spa is also open to visitors who are not staying at the hotel.
TSWALU REFURBISHES EXCLUSIVE-USE HOMESTEAD
Tarkuni Homestead at Tswalu Kalahari Reserve in the Northern Cape has been refurbished, offering guests an enhanced exclusive-use safari experience.
The upgrades include refreshed open-plan living and dining areas, an updated spa treatment room, and 5 en-suite bedrooms featuring new linen, curtains and bathrooms finished with natural materials. Each bedroom also offers an outdoor shower and a private terrace with a day bed.
Guests staying at the homestead continue to enjoy personalised service with a dedicated manager, chef, guide and tracker.
