TREVOR NOAH FRONTS NEW SOUTH AFRICA TOURISM CAMPAIGN
The Don’t Say We Didn’t Tell You campaign, fronted by Trevor Noah, is inviting the world to experience the very best of South Africa. Building on the success of the 2023 campaign, the latest initiative celebrates the country’s breathtaking landscapes, vibrant culture, world-class wildlife and warm hospitality.
Designed to inspire a new generation of travellers, the campaign showcases the authentic experiences that make South Africa unforgettable while reinforcing tourism’s vital role in growing the economy and creating jobs.
ELLERMAN HOUSE ENHANCES ITS VILLA EXPERIENCE
From 1 December 2026, every stay at Villa One and Villa Two at Ellerman House will be fully inclusive, offering guests an even more seamless and personalised experience.
The enhanced offering includes daily breakfast, tailored lunches and dinners, a curated selection of wines, and a dedicated hospitality team to provide personalised service throughout each stay.
The new inclusions apply to all new villa bookings, as well as existing reservations for stays from 1 December 2026 onwards. Designed for families, groups of friends and special celebrations, the villas combine complete privacy with the signature hospitality for which Ellerman House is renowned.
NEW JOURNEY: THE MALAWI MEANDER BY ROVOS RAIL
Rovos Rail has introduced the Malawi Meander, a new 16-night journey showcasing the diverse landscapes, cultures and wildlife of Southern Africa. Travelling through South Africa, Eswatini, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi, the itinerary offers a unique blend of iconic attractions and off-the-beaten-track experiences.
Highlights include game drives in Kruger National Park and Liwonde National Park, visits to the Great Zimbabwe Monument, cultural encounters, vibrant local markets, river sundowners, and a lakeside retreat on the shores of Lake Malawi.
The journey follows a successful inaugural departure and will be available for travel during the 2027 and 2028 seasons.
NEW BRIDGE CUTS SERENGETI TRANSFER
A new bridge at Serengeti Migration Camp in northern Tanzania has significantly reduced the drive between the camp and Kogatende, cutting the route from 113km to just 53km.
The bridge also provides access to exclusive game drive areas that were previously out of reach, including new bush breakfast and sundowner locations. Guests can now enjoy easier access to the Great Migration and the iconic Mara River crossings.
CHEETAHS RETURN TO NORTH LUANGWA AFTER 30 YEARS
6 cheetahs have been translocated from South Africa to Zambia’s North Luangwa National Park, reintroducing the species to the ecosystem after an absence of more than 30 years. The move marks the first step towards restoring a self-sustaining cheetah population in the oldest section of Africa’s Great Rift Valley.
According to the Endangered Wildlife Trust, the group of 3 males and 3 females will undergo a phased acclimatisation before being released into the park’s 30,000 km² wilderness. A further 6 cheetahs are expected to be translocated later this year as part of the ongoing conservation initiative.
