WESTERN CAPE: CEMAIR REINSTATES ANOTHER ROUTE
CemAir has announced that it will recommence flights to Plettenberg Bay from both O.R. Tambo International Airport and Cape Town International airports in early December.
BOTSWANA: MACKAIR TO FLY MAUN-WINDHOEK
MackAir has been licensed by the Civil Aviation Authority of Botswana to operate scheduled services 3 times a week between Maun and Windhoek. According to MackAir Spokesperson, Michael Weyl, the flights will commence in April using a Cessna Grand Caravan C208ex, with a capacity of 10 passengers. The new route will enhance connectivity and avoid passengers having to connect via Gaborone or Johannesburg. The flight will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, departing Maun at 1:30pm and arriving in Windhoek at 3:50pm. The return flight, on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, will depart Windhoek at 10am and arrive at Maun at 12:20pm. Bookings reopened on 1 December.
KENYA: NEW BOUTIQUE PROPERTY OPENS

The hotel features comfortable outdoor and indoor dining areas and activities include bird watching, educational tours, agricultural tours, nature bike rides and picnics. Zereniti House can host meetings and events in its business centre, with a theatre that can accommodate 30 delegates.
ZAMBIA: SOUTHERN SUN RIDGEWAY LUSAKA UPDATE
Southern Sun Ridgeway Lusaka recently completed a refurbishment to the value of over $7m. The newly-unveiled rooms and public areas bring a fresh, contemporary design to the hotel, which remains a top choice for business professionals. Each room features blackout curtains, soft and spacious beds, walk-in showers, complimentary Wi-Fi, DSTV and 24-hour room service. Other upgrades include the reception area, the Musuku Restaurant, public toilets, and business centre. An additional boardroom is also available, seating 16 guests. The hotel features 154 rooms, 6 meeting rooms, a restaurant, bar and terrace, a swimming pool and fitness centre.
ZIMBABWE: CRESTA JAMESON HOTEL REFURB
Cresta Jameson Hotel in Harare is undergoing a refurbishment and is expected to be completed by April 2020. The hotel is open for business during this period as renovations are being done in phases. All the apartments and bedrooms, public areas, banqueting rooms and conference rooms will be receiving a makeover. Work on the reception, Sandawana restaurant, The Usual Place bar, the residents’ lounge, all the conference rooms and the bedrooms on levels 2, 3 and 4 have all been completed. Work continues on Tiffany’s restaurant and bedroom floors 5, 6 and 7.
