Par: 72
Featured hole: 11th on the East course – The tightest tee shot, where an avenue of pine trees forms a dauntingly narrow target. The approach shot is played uphill to a raised green.
Hermanus Golf Course was redesigned in 2006, where the charming and gentle layout of the past was replaced with modern classically designed holes. The East Course is considered the best layout. The 3 different nines have a character of their own, and each provides a quality golf experience – the variety of holes is a feature, as is the number of strong challenging par 4s. Superb conditioning has long been a feature of Hermanus.
Championships are played on the East course and attracted its first ever SA men’s Amateur Championship in 2014, as well as being home to the Walker Bay Classic since 1984.

Fancourt is home of some of the most rewarding golf courses for both pros and novices. There are 3 Gary Player-designer courses, each with its own unique character and allure.
The Links is Fancourt’s flagship course and measures up to the highest international standards. Ranked 2nd in South Africa, The Links has hosted some of the prestigious tournaments, including the Presidents Cup (2003), the SA Open (2005) and the 2012 Volvo Golf Champions European Tour. The Links is a walking course, with no cart hire, and a caddie for every player is compulsory.
The Montagu course has a world-renowned reputation as one of the best 18-hole parkland courses, and is well-known for superb conditioning and fast-paced firm greens. With rolling fairways and strategically-placed bunkers, even the most experienced golfers will find themselves challenged.
The Outeniqua course is a parklands course, offering views of the surrounding mountains and forests, and can be challenging. Several tightish fairways demand accuracy from the tee, and water hazards are in play on several holes.
Pace of play is monitored for both Montagu and Outebiqua, and golfers are given 4h30 to complete a round.

- St Francis Links: 17th – 114 holes-in-one have been played here, where Nicklaus designed a Redan-style green in the dunes playing between 190 and 125m.
The St Francis Link currently hosts the SA PGA Chamionship (Sunshine Tour). The course asks for brave shots and inventive ones, with Nicklaus excelling in his designs with varied challenges, short and long, wide and narrow, uphill and down. There are 4 different sets of tees, making the course enjoyable for everyone.
St Francis Bay was once a 9-holer, and was rebuilt in 1999. With its sandy soil, the course has a strong links feel to it, particularly the bunkering and greens, and indigenous bush lining some fairways, and attractive design features have resulted in an interesting variety of holes.
