Featured Hole: 18th – One of the best short par 4s in the country, known for its unique challenge and picturesque scenery. Only a long confident drive will carry the river to get close to the green on the other side.

De Zalze Golf Course offers  a varying range of holes, tranquil scenery, and superb conditioning. The fairways are generously wide, yet the approaches to greens require precise shot-making. Water hazards, an array of risk-and-reward par 5s, and on 17th, there is a small ravine formed by the river in front of the green. Table Mountain stands as a distant, yet imposing backdrop.

Featured Hole: 17th – one of the most daunting tee shots in the Cape, over the crest of a ridge with a fence on the right separating the estate from a nature reserve. The fairway is framed by pine trees on the left and out of bounds on the right

Erinvale  Golf Club boasts some of the country’s most challenging and spectacular golf holes. Erinvale’s demanding front nine meanders through parklike terrain, whilst the back nine provide a contrasting challenge as it winds its way through the foothills of the mountains. The large green complexes, with subtle contouring and clever positioning of greenside bunker, present a challenge even to pros.

Erinvale was host to the 1996 World Cup of Golf, as well as the 2003/4 SA Open.

Pear Valley has cool-season grasses on the fairways and tees, and bent grass greens, and has regularly been rated as one of the best conditioned courses in the country. The layout of the course was designed with the prevailing winds in mind. All par 3s and par 5s play in different directions, thus providing the golfer with varying conditions throughout the round.

If you’re playing Pearl Valley, it is recommended that you arrive early, to enjoy all the facilities it has to offer, from those within the clubhouse to the magnificent practice range.
